Build and Kill Zombies Hacker Event: Limited Event 2026, King 1x1x1x1, and Badge Rewards

The Hacker Event 2026 in Build and Kill Zombies has ended. See how the limited September 2026 event worked, the King 1x1x1x1 boss encounter, the badge rewards it left behind, and what is unobtainable now.

The Hacker Event in Build and Kill Zombies — officially named the Limited Hacker Event 2026 — was a limited September 2026 event by Zombie Car Crusher, and its window has already closed. The event's exact start and end dates were never publicly documented; its existence is established by badge evidence. The badges can no longer be earned by anyone arriving late, and no re-run has been announced.

Event status and dates

The official badge names it the "Limited Hacker Event 2026", and its attendance badge confirmed the event ran in-game in Build and Kill Zombies (the car-build wave-survival game launched August 19, 2026). Because the window has closed, the event area is unavailable, the boss can no longer be fought, and no confirmed re-run exists. If the event area shows as unavailable, the limited event is over.

How participation worked while the event was live

Participation was tied to the game's shared boss system rather than a private instance:

  1. Load into the lobby — a server-wide NEXT BOSS IN countdown appears on the HUD from the moment you load in and never pauses while you are on a run.
  2. Check the timer before every drive and pick a run length that leaves time to be back in the lobby before it hits zero, since the encounter happens for everyone present in the five-player server.
  3. Enter the event area and follow the in-game boss instructions with your strongest setup.
  4. Build for sustained damage rather than distance — a heavy chassis with more weapon slots was worth more than a fast record build.
  5. Attend to earn the Hacker Event 2026 attendance badge, which was granted simply for logging in during the window.
  6. Retry after upgrades — event bosses reward repeated, better-prepared attempts.

A themed HACKER EVENT shop also sat apart from the normal station rolls while the event was live.

King 1x1x1x1, the Hacker Event Great Boss

King 1x1x1x1 is the Great Boss introduced by the Hacker Event, confirmed by the official badge "You defeated the King 1x1x1x1", which describes it as the Hacker Event Great Boss. The encounter was a shared server event faced by the whole lobby. Specific boss HP, attack patterns, and fight mechanics were never publicly documented — only the event framing and the shared-encounter structure are confirmed — so any detailed strategy claim should be treated as unverified. The encounter was clearly challenging: far fewer players defeated it than attended.

Verified rewards and badges

RewardHow it was earnedHolders (checked 2026-09-12, badges API)
Hacker Event 2026 attendance badgeAttending/logging in during the limited window~470,000 players
"You defeated the King 1x1x1x1" badgeBeating the event's Great Boss~40,000 players (roughly 14–15.6% of players per differing estimates)

No separate reward list (items, cash, event coin payouts) was ever officially published; the badges are the lasting record of the event and are now unobtainable.

Hacker Event shop parts

While the event was live, the HACKER EVENT shop offered a themed set of limited parts separate from the normal station rolls:

  • Hacker Bumper
  • Hacker Wheel
  • Hacker Fuel
  • Hacker Engine
  • Error Laser
  • Glitchy Turbo
  • Electro Glitch

These were limited to the event window and were sitting apart from the normal station rolls.

What changes now that the event has ended

The event area is unavailable and the boss can no longer be fought. The associated badges cannot be earned by new players and now serve as historical markers — the attendance badge records who was present, and the rare defeat badge (~40,000 holders) is the clearest public signal of how hard the encounter was. No re-run has been announced. The regular boss timer system remains part of the evergreen game outside this event.
